On discovery of this project, I was so crazily excited by the fact that some genius people had come up with the concept to combine this treasured gen-Y childhood anime, and the skillful work of so many emerging artists, that I knew I just HAD to share it on here! If you grew up in the 90's and love good art, be prepared for amazement.

Pokemon Battle Royale is a series or artworks by 151 artists, each depicting their own interpretation of a 1st generation Pokemon. The series is being exhibited at Light Grey Art Lab til May 11th, and prints are available for purchase via their online store.

I can safely say that this is one of the best things I have ever seen! Little Violet Hume is a shining star in the new campaign for Wildfox Couture's 'Wildfox Kids' range. The amazingly talented Wildfox girls, Kimberley Gordon and Emily Faulstich, collaborated on styling, with Kimberley snapping the shots and Emily doodling the quirky little cartoon characters.

Once again, they've managed to create a accurately measured mixture of style, whimsy, and attitude, portraying perfectly the wonder of being a kid. Now to investigate the possibility of squishing my adult torso in to that children's sized 'Young Hearts Run Free' T-shirt.

Today the precious Jessie of She's Leaving Home came over for a library date, and brought with her the cutest gift in the entire universe, CAT CLUTCH!! Anyone who knows how much of a crazy cat lady I am could imagine the ear-splitting squeal of excitement I let out when I opened my present parcel. Jessie also has one, in an appropriately bright and bubbly coral hue. Mine, of course, is my favourite shade of medium grey (she knows my monotonal taste too well!)

I carried him around proudly all day, his head conveniently filled with all my important out-and-about tidbits. I think I shall name him Jensen the Monotonal Cat, and he shall never leave my side.
